Yeah Kylli was weather immune but Todd was only okay with the heat.

He went inside straight away. Tried a hot shower. Didn't help.
He bundled up and drank some of that honey tea. Phew! Warmed him up. Disaster avoided.
But he wanted a little extra to get the blood all hot.

He got a promotion at work too. Had to choose between cover operator and officer. He went with the first, kind of in his mother's footsteps.
He had to go to work straight away too.
Karen called on his way to work. No thanks.

Anyway, he got to work. Kylli and mum Lori just tagged along and chatted while Todd was trying to shackle down some vampires.
Todd had to plant a bug on someone and he chose Hayden Teague.
Took a while of fake compliments but the bug was planted!

Kylli failed with her crime story she started to write in Granite falls. She made edits and got paid a little but the whole experience just wasn't good.

Todd got around to listening in on Hayden.

Kylli started another crime story.
She just couldn't get these fantasies, crimes and mysteries right. A book about this came out excellent though. Luckily the client was happy.
Kylli was so over writing books for others! She wanted to write a sci-fi book for herself.
So she did. And this was also her first book for herself. She published it too.
