Kala was sad about the whole situation and her pregnancy wasn't helping much.
Todd tried to make her feel better. And actually wanted to be in a relationship with her.
She didn't like that idea much either.

Kala needed some alone time...
Yeah, she was a mermaid.
That extra waterworks actually made her feel better. So she just swam around alone all night.

New Year's Eve in the morning. Kala didn't like the party spirit as she was a loner. Maia didn't care for the decorations but would have loved the countdown to midnight. And the young male couple were away so they weren't gonna celebrate anyway. So the family ignored the holiday this time.

Malachi's brother Brayan sent his congratulations.
And Malachi and Lionel got super serious too. When they got back from one of their endevours, Malachi had made up his mind. He wanted to spend the rest of his life with Lionel.
And on fine morning, he proposed.
Lionel said yes.
Right after the engagement, Malachi wanted to get married.
So the dudes moved out together to start their own life.
Well, they moved in with Malachi's brother as that's where the money was. And it wasn't as crowded as the Sulani house.
Oh yeah, the Sulani Goldsmiths had quite a bit of money too. Enough to secure the heir/heiress' future. Whoever it was gonna be.

As time went on Todd and Kala got a little closer and their relationship got better.
He wanted to show her that she really belonged to the household and invited her to join the Goldsmith Elite.
That went well.
But Kala fell ill.
Took a nap to feel better.
And then spent some more time in water.
In bath water that is.

Maia and Kala tried getting more familiar and familial too.
Maia was praising dad as the Goldsmith Elite leader. Okay, looks like Kala still doesn't fully accept herself in the family.

Prank day came up. Well, Kala was a mischievous one so maybe that's going to help her blend into the family. Maia loved the day too.

The first cheeky thing to happen was a monster came out from under Maia's bed. She wasn't too scared though and actually made friends with the silly monster. And for the rest of the day some teasing jokes and pranks took place and it ended as success for everyone.

All that sleeping in the tent alone paid off finally.
